Canada’s Environmental
Education Network
Supporting environmental literacy, stewardship, and a sustainable future for all.
Who We Are

The Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication (EECOM) is a nation-wide bilingual and charitable network for environmental and sustainability education (ESE).
We achieve this by building an inclusive environmental and sustainability education community that celebrates environmental education success and best practices from across the country and supports professional learning for environmental education practitioners.
EECOM works strategically and collaboratively to advance environmental and sustainability education across the country. We provide a framework for our members to share ideas, initiatives, research, resources and enhance professional learning opportunities.
EECOM is a community of environmental educators. Our membership includes provincial, territorial and national environmental education organizations, governmental departments, universities, colleges, K-12 schools, the private sector, industry, teachers, students, academics, community leaders, and individuals who are dedicated to advancing environmental literacy and sustainable livelihoods.
