{"id":1250,"date":"2025-08-26T16:19:31","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T16:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eecom.org\/?post_type=event_listing&#038;p=1250"},"modified":"2025-11-21T21:12:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T21:12:28","slug":"eecom-2024-conference","status":"publish","type":"event_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.eecom.org\/index.php\/event\/eecom-2024-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"EECOM 2024 Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2024 Outdoor Learning Conference a success!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>May 9-11, 2024 <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 Outdoor Learning Conference took place in the Banff Centre in Alberta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Over\u00a0500\u00a0participants from across North America attended the 2024 Outdoor Learning Conference, which was presented in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/takemeoutside.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Take Me Outside<\/a>,\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoec.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Global Environmental and Outdoor Education Council<\/a> of Alberta (GEOEC), and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/outdoorlearningstore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Outdoor Learning Store<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overarching theme for the Conference was \u201c<strong>Place and Pedagogy: Where Learning Happens<\/strong>\u201d. The Conference focused on\u00a0Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Health and Wellbeing and Environmental and Climate Change Education. 140 different sessions were offered thanks to 147 presenters who came to share their wisdom and expertise.
