EECOM\u2019s Communities of Practice (CoPs) are national, bilingual gatherings that bring together environmental education professionals to share knowledge, exchange best practices, explore challenges and strengthen impact and collaboration across Canada. Our CoPs foster collaboration, learning, and the exchange of best practices\u2014supporting both individual growth and our collective mission.<\/p>

What is a CoP?<\/span><\/h4>

A community of practice, or CoP:<\/span><\/h3>

A group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic. These groups meet regularly \u2013 in person and virtually \u2013 and come together to fulfill both their individual and group goals.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

EECOM CoP:<\/span><\/h4>

60-minute online sessions, offered several times a year. Open to all EECOM members.<\/em><\/p>

These sessions feature guest facilitators who spark discussion on timely topics. Participants then connect in smaller groups to explore ideas, network, and problem-solve together\u2014before returning to share collective insights.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NELL CoP:<\/span><\/h4>

90-minute online sessions, offered several times a year, led in partnership with the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC).<\/em><\/p>

These sessions feature guest speakers who introduce key issues and opportunities in informal learning. EECOM and CASC organizational members engage in extended dialogue, exchange experiences, and share strategies.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n <\/section>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
