The 2026 Outdoor Learning Conference took place in the Banff Centre in Alberta. It sold out in 20 minutes!

Over 500 participants from across North America attended the 2026 Outdoor Learning Conference, which was presented in partnership with Take Me Outside, the Global Environmental and Outdoor Education Council of Alberta (GEOEC), and the Outdoor Learning Store.

The overarching theme for the Conference was “Place and Pedagogy: Where Learning Happens”. The Conference continued to focus on Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Health and Wellbeing and Environmental and Climate Change Education. We heard from experts in these fields through keynote presentations, panel discussions and hands-on, educational workshops.

Thank you to the Keynote Speakers: Sylvia Ann Fox, Leona Prince, Dr. Gillian Judson, Elin Kelsey, TIKA and Dr. Astrid Kendrick for sharing and creating insightful dialogue on topics of Indigenous Learning, Climate and the Environment, and Health and Wellbeing.
